Frequently asked questions

How can the program be started automatically when the computer boots?

The program can be started automatically when the computer boots by creating a link in the autostart menu. The autostart menu can be launched by clicking on Start - right click on All programs - Open - All users - Autostart. Then you have to copy the desktop icon "TimeHelp" to the autostart folder via drag&drop and reboot the computer.

How can the computer be started automatically?

In the BIOS setup of the computer (can be started mostly with the key DEL on PCs or with the key F11 or F12 on laptops) you can set the APM mode to "Restore on AC Power loss" in the "Advanced Settings" menu on many computers. Then the computer starts without pressing any button at the computer or any key when the power is turned on e.g. by a time switch.

Are the particularly suitable computers for the program?

In general, all computers meeting the system requirements are suitable.

Nettops are particulary suitable because of their very small size (partly less than 20x20 cm), as long as they support APM (Advanced Power Managment) in their BIOS.

Can the program be adapted for other languages, too?

In the installation folder (by default C:\TimeHelp) the file "userdefined" can be found. The English expression can be replaced by the correspondent expressions in any language.
This should work also with non-western languages like Hebrew or Arabic.

In the program TimeHelp, the language "User-defined" has to be chosen in the settings dialog.
